The FlipCity Boosters is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose purpose is to provide financial and administrative support to the cheerleading program. You are automatically a member of the Booster Club when your child becomes a member of the program. All cheer boosters are encouraged to attend meetings to learn more about the organization and the plans for the 2007-2008 cheer season.
Functions and Duties
• Fundraising – The fundraising committee spearheads ideas and helps organize events that help keep this program affordable.
• Uniforms – The booster club purchases uniforms and warm-ups on a as-needed basis for the competitive cheer teams.
• Policy Setting – In conjunction with the program director and staff, the booster club acts as a sounding board to help create policies that help make the
organization better for everyone.
• Bookkeeping – From monthly bill collection and payments, to balancing all our accounts, the Treasurer helps ensure we're in good order with our members, staff and vendors.
Fundraising
Fundraising is a necessary evil, but approached the correct way it can be a very good learning experience and will support the long-term success of this program. The FlipCity Boosters is committed to holding fewer fundraisers and we will continue to try and find those that offer the greatest return for the amount of work needed. Ultimately, the costs associated with this program will depend upon the success of these efforts.
